Hey guys, here i pickup with some questions i found on the web, specially on GSMAreanas reviews page, keep visiting because i will update this often, use the search feature to get to what you want quickly:
Q.Who is this phone amid at?
A.Its a budget phone amid at emerging markets like India and Africa, in other words, people who cant afford a smart phone, or simply a heavy texter who likes to be minimalist with his tech needs.
Q. Does this phone support whatsapp?
A.Yes, its actually a huge selling point.
Q. Does this phone come in single SIM version?
A.Yes, there is single SIM & Dual SIM.
Q.In what colors this phone comes?
A.There is Black, Yellow, And Blue for starters, and the Magenta and White is coming soon.
Q.Speaking of SIM cards, what type of SIM cards does it use?
A.Mini SIM, you dont have to cut the SIM to get it in :D
Q.Does this phone charge with USB?
A.No, the one i have does not support it.
Q.Does this phone come with Memory stick?
A.Its region dependent, some countries pack it with a memory card, some dont, Mine was tho.
Q.Does this phone Have WiFi?
A.Yes it does, of course you need to have a connection, check your local area.
Q.Is the whatsapp life time free?
A.Only for the phones with a physical whatsapp key.
Q.How do you rate the camera?
A.Its a 2 mega pixel shooter with digital zoom x4, no special lens or flash, Its pretty basic, barley passes for social sharing.
Q.How do you compare the phone to the Nokia C3 ?
A.To be honest i tried the C3 for quite sometime, and its a really good phone, didnt get a 210 yet, but i can say that the 210 is lighter and wider than the C3, the Dual-SIM is a nice advancement too, some said that the 210 keyboard is really close to it, maybe 90% in quality terms, but lets not forget that the C3 was made in Hungary, and 210 is an Asha made in china, you can see the full comparison from here.
Q.Can i count on this phone as a main phone?
A.Well if you cant afford anything, or you are just into the qwerty thing too much, its for you, but you need to understand the limitations fully, i suggest you look at my post Pros & cons.
Q.What is the RAM & ROM & Phone memory? And battery backup?
A.RAM=32MB, ROM=64MB, Phone memory= 64MB Maximum battery standby time on a single SIM handset is 46 days.
Q.I use to have an Asha 205, is this phone an upgrade?
A.Yes it is, With enhanced RAM and Camera, with the addition of USB port, And the Whatsapp physical key.
Q.Does it support a document viewer, Dictionary?
A.It does not support a document viewer, but according to the officaial page it has a dictionary.
Q.How can i move my contacts from my old phone, Lets say Nokia C3?
A.You need to use the Bluetooth to do that, you will find all the details in the user manual, check this post for specs and manual.
Q.Is this phone G3? What about GPS and Nokia Maps?
A.Sadly the answer to all is no, its a budget phone under 80$ so these are all unavailable, it has Nokia nearby from the box.
Q.Does it support Facebook & twitter & YouTube?
A.Yes, its ready to go "right out of the box"
Q.How is the music play on this phone?
A.Really basic, doesnt have an equalizer and it features a standard S40 Music player.
Q.I couldnt get my hands on a handset yet, what is the closest thing to it?
A.Its very unique, sold and glossy, very pleasant to hold :D
Q.What is an S40?
A.Its Nokias OS on budget phones for ages now, cant support multi-tasking as a major drawback.
Q.IS the screen easy to read in sunny outdoor?
A.Its really hard to see the screen in sunlight even with full brightness:( I suggest to get a non-reflective screen protector.
Q.how many SMS can you store in the phone ? can you store SMS directlty on SD card ?
A. You cant store the SMS to the SD card but you can update the phones data and settings (including SMS) to the SD
As for how many SMS I dont know!!
Some say its unlimited, I have 349 SMS inbox, several in the out box, a draft!
So its pretty spacious.
