Android Phone Not Booting After Installing Chainfire 3D FIX

[Introduction]

Chainfire 3D is an application which enables low end android phones having old versions of the operating system to play high end games on their phone. Though my phone is not exactly running an old version of android(It is running Android 4.2.2), I still decided to try out Chainfire 3D to see what it does. It installed perfectly after which it wanted a driver install. After installing the driver, the phone started to reboot. However, there was a problem. Nothing would happen after displaying the boot screen. In short, my phone was stuck in a boot loop. Boot loop simply means that something is preventing the phone from completing its boot cycle and is stuck between the boot animation and the lock screen. But thats hardly a reason to worry is it? Just a simple reflashing of the stock ROM will make get my phone up and running again. But it was not as simple as it sounded. I did not have backup of my apps and neither of my messages(which were important messages, mind you!). So I somehow had to remove the entire Chainfire 3D application from my phone which would MOST PROBABLY fix my problem and I would not lose my apps, messages and contacts as well. But how would I do that ? Its easy. Follow the article !

[/Introduction]

Lets get started guys. The first thing to do is download some stuff without which we cannot compete this process. So here is the list:

  • ADB (Android Debug Bridge). Download the file, launch, press Y and click enter. Click Y and press enter again. The driver installation will start after whose installation you are done.)
  • JDK(Download and Install)
  • Your phones driver(search Google :D).
Now that we have downloaded all the stuff that we need, let us start:

  • Connect your phone via USB cable to your computer.
  • You need to put your phone into Factory Mode. Different processes are there to enter factory mode. However, the most probable process is to press the following keys simultaneously: Volume Key Up+Volume Key Down+Power Button. If these key combinations do not work for you then do a Google search.
  • Click on Start, type cmd and press enter.
  • Once cmd(command prompt) is open, enter adb and press enter.
  • Now type adb devices and press enter. You will see your device listed there.
  • Now type adb pm uninstall eu.chainfire.cf3d.
  • Now type adb shell and press enter.
  • Now type su and press enter.
  • Now type cd system/lib
  • Now type adb pm uninstall eu.chainfire.cf3d.
  • Finally, type reboot.
You will find that your phone is booting perfectly and is exactly as it was before installation of Chainfire 3D.
The question is why Chainfire 3D caused this problem. Answer:- Chainfire 3D is not compatible with Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean !!
